Is health playing a weight on your mind ?
Reflexology is a proven complementary therapy to relieve tension and treat illness through a system of massage that concentrates on reflex points found on the feet and hands which link to corresponding parts of the body. This gentle therapy encourages the body to work naturally to restore its own healthy balance.
What is Reflexology ?
Eunice Ingham Footmap

Reflexology is a totally holistic, non-invasive therapy that is perfectly safe and involves the application of gentle pressure to the reflex points on the feet (or hands) that link to corresponding parts of the body.

Zone Theory
The concept of Zone theory was first developed by William Fitzgerald in the early 1900's whereas 10 imaginary longitudinal lines exist, extending from the head through to the fingers and toes. It is thought that each zone encompasses various parts of the body and where there may be sensitivity in one area that it creates an imbalance in the entire length of that zone. For example working a zone on the foot where the kidneys lie may release vital energy that may be blocked somewhere else within that zone, such as the eyes. As pressure is applied to the feet (or hands) it will stimulate the flow of energy throughout the corresponding zone, thus clearing any blockages and providing a rejuvenating and healing effect on the entire body

Holistic
The term 'holistic' means that the whole person is treated, rather than the symptom(s). When key reflexes in the feet (or hands) are worked upon, this natural therapy helps to stimulate or unblock the neural pathways. Based on the principle that every part of the body is interdependent, reflexology aims to promote healing by returning the body to its natural rhythms unhindered, thus restoring homeostasis. When the energy flow is impeded, then the organ it serves is adversely affected. Obstructions in the energy lines register pain and in certain conditions create limitations in motion and function.
